Du 1er au 09 Mai 2026 la ville balnéaire de Grand-Popo a accueilli le camp de préparation des athlètes béninois engagés pour les Championnats d’Afrique Seniors d’athlétisme, prévus du 12 au 17 mai 2026 à Accra au Ghana.
Pendant neuf jours,, les représentants béninois ont peaufiné leur condition physique et technique dans un cadre propice au travail intensif. Le groupe de Grand Popo est composé de neuf athlètes issus de plusieurs disciplines : sprint, demi-fond, lancer et épreuves combinées. 15 athlètes dont 08 femmes vont représenter le Bénin à la compétition.
